Resources for Learning Trigonometry

Trigonometry is the branch of math (and specifically a subsection within geometry) that studies triangles, and the relationships between the sides and angles of triangles. In future, I am planning to release a book about trigonometry, but in the meantime, here are some other resources that you may find useful for learning trigonometry and improving your trigonometric skills.

Anyway, here are the links:

  • Trigonometry for Dummies by Mary Jane Sterling

This is a book aimed at students who want to learn trigonometry, or improve their trigonometry skills. The book contains many trigonometry problems, and is designed to follow typical trigonometry courses given at high school and college.

The book explains basic concepts in plain English, and contains many example problems. It attempts to cover both the "how" and "why" of trigonometry.

  • The Humongous Book of Trigonometry Problems by W. Michael Kelley

This is a collection of 750 trigonometry problems - but it also contains answers and solutions. The solutions and notes on each problem are designed to show students not only how each problem can be solved, but also to teach the skills to analyze and solve other problems on their own.

Many different types of questions are dealt with in the book, including some topics which rarely receive enough coverage in other books and online resources.

In summary, this book is an excellent resource for students who want or need worked examples of trigonometry problems.
